Can I use my own domain, like mybusiness.com?
Yes — on every plan. Buy the domain anywhere you like (registrars like GoDaddy or Namecheap, usually around $12 a year — we don't sell domains), then connect it from your dashboard: Settings → Your domain. We show you the exact records to copy into your registrar, and the secure padlock is set up automatically. Your free .netlify.app address keeps working alongside it.
Do I need to know anything technical?
No. If you can send an email and use your phone's camera, you can run everything.
Do I have to install or maintain anything?
Nothing. Stooplight is entirely cloud-hosted — there's no software to install, no upgrades to run, and no web server to look after. Your site and its dashboard are available from any browser, so you can run the whole thing from the shop counter, the kitchen table, or your phone.
Where does the ticket and shop money go?
Straight into your own Stripe account — the same payment company behind a great many online checkouts. You connect your account once from your dashboard, buyers pay on Stripe's own secure page, and the money lands with you. It never passes through us, and card numbers never touch your website.
Can I sell products, not just tickets?
Yes — the Pro plan includes an online shop. Add up to 50 products with photos from your dashboard, and visitors buy with a real cart on Stripe's secure checkout. You choose how orders arrive: pickup only, flat-rate shipping, or let the buyer pick, with free shipping over an amount you set. Gift certificates and services work too — each product can add its own note to the buyer's receipt, like a scheduling link or how to redeem.
How do you compare to Wix or Squarespace?

Where does my site actually live?
On Netlify, a hosting network used by everyone from side projects to large companies. In practice that means an encrypted connection, pages that load quickly wherever your visitors are, and no server for you to maintain or patch. Your own domain name works on every plan — connect it from the dashboard.
Can I change my hours, prices, and events?
Your words — name, tagline, services, hours, all of it — plus events, links, and testimonials you change yourself from the dashboard, with a preview before anything goes live and an undo if you change your mind. Photos too — upload a new logo or hero photo straight from the dashboard and it's live when you publish. Nothing to upload? Search free stock photos by keyword and tap one, or let the dashboard draw a clean wordmark logo from your business name in your site's own font and colors.
Will the chat make things up about my business?
It answers only from what's actually on your site — your published hours, services, prices, and events — plus any extra facts you add from the dashboard. When it doesn't know something, it says so and points people to your contact form.
How do I cancel or update my card?
Yourself, anytime: manage your subscription here — enter your account email, Stripe sends you a secure sign-in link, and you can cancel, change your card, or see invoices. No contracts, no cancellation fee. Prefer a human? The support form works too.
What happens if I stop paying?
Your public site reverts to a simple placeholder, but nothing is deleted — you can still sign in to your dashboard to view and export your leads, conversations, and guest lists for 30 days. Start paying again in that window and your site comes back exactly as it was. After 30 days the site and its data are removed for good.
